This is how it all started…

Alexa Brinton, 11, is an international award-winning pianist studying with Professor Carmel Lowenthal in New York City and has been a student in the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program since September 2025. She was a finalist in the 2025 Chicago International Music Competition and has won First Prize in the International Best Performance Competition Series (Best of Haydn, ages 8–10), Third Prize in the Enkor International Piano Competition, and Gold Prize in the 2025 IPPA International Piano Competition (U.S. Division, Young Artist Category, ages 10–11).

Additional honors include runner-up for fifth grade and first place in grades 4–6 duets at the 2024 Missouri Music Teachers Association State Competition, a Judge’s Choice Award at the 2025 St. Louis Sonatina/Sonata Festival, and Superior ratings in the 2023 and 2024 National Piano Playing Auditions (Guild).

She has performed with the Brinton Family Pianists in Germany, Hawai‘i, and St. Louis. Outside of music, Alexa enjoys competitive diving and swimming.
